Once again science and creativity comes to the rescue. How often have you said either or both of these things:

  • “I am tired of manually de-creaming my Oreo Cookies”
  • “I can’t find a good hand-sliced noodle any more.”

Me TOO!

Robot Oreo DeCreamer

Apparently, Nabisco is running a contest to see who can invent machine to separate their flagship cookie from it’s component parts. I guess there is a problem with people loving either the cookie or the cream and wanting to divide the pair.

It’s a basic human desire to separate an OREO cookie. Humans love either cookie or creme. And sometimes a man just needs to invent a machine to do the hard work of separating the two. Today, that man is physicist and cookie-part preferrer David Neevel. Watch him operate the machine he created that separates OREO cookies.

[Angry] Robot Noodle Slicer

Turns out there are other robot food preps out there. Here’s a Chinese man who invented a robot to hand-slice noodles. According to a robot chef owner in the video, “a robot chef can slice noodles better than a human chef, and it’s much cheeper than a human chef.”

But those glowing eyes, those rigid fierce brows… Why is this robot so mad? I don’t know about this one. The bad attitude, the mindless automated knife swinging… I think I’ll slice my noodles myself for now.

  • Mike,

Nice! I think I could use one of these robots at home myself! It would be kind of cool to have a robot that would slice and dice noodles and have an attitude problem. Anyone that comes over to my house with any type of an attitude I would just introduce them to my angry robot……
