There are few things that never fail to delight. One of them is bacon [Note: if you get pork belly at a Korean BBQ it’s not bacon]. Another is remote controlled helicopters. The Gizzard Stone has been given the opportunity by Oren Miller of Blogger Father to participate in a giveaway of an Air Hogs Battle Tracker and a couple books from Geek Dad.
Nessel @ DadDoes did a review of this toy. Here’s an excerpt.
Air Hogs Battle Tracker Is The Fantasy Toy of 10 Year Old Boys
If you polled a group of 10 year old boys and asked them to create the ultimate remote controlled toy, here is what they would probably want….
- A helicopter that could fire missiles
- Another R/C toy that could try to shoot down the helicopters, more missiles, more better!
- Throw in some drone like robotic tracking powers
- Battles are great, but make a one player game for when friends are not around
- Robotic voices, with creepy robot eyes are always cool — throw a couple of them in
- Oh, and the R/C helicopter should spit out candy on demand…forever
The giveaway is also for a copy of The Geek Dad Book for Aspiring Mad Scientists: The Coolest Experiments and Projects for Science Fairs and Family Fun and The Geek Dad’s Guide to Weekend Fun: Cool Hacks, Cutting-Edge Games, and More Awesome Projects for the Whole Family. Vincent Daly wrote a book review on CuteMonster.

The scope of the experiments and projects can range in cost, difficulty, and duration (i.e. a few short minutes to several months). In addition, the age range required to participate in certain experiments can vary. Parental supervision as well as the proper safety equipment is required for most if not all projects which ensures family involvement in any given task. In theory, the mad scientist family that works together stays together. [Read More on CuteMonster]
