There’s a 100 pound dog that climbs a ladder to work on all day on roofs around Norfolk, England. The Newfoundland, a Labrador and a Rottweiler mix works with his partner, Richard Houghton who repairs thatched roofs for a living.
“When he was a little puppy, we had to carry him up the ladder. But he soon learned how to climb up the rungs himself. You just have to be behind him so he has the confidence to get up.
“Once he is on the ridge, he just sits or lays down and keeps an eye on us. Sometimes he also has a little wander around. He would much rather be there than sitting in the back of the van. [Telegraph]
Lots of Dogs on Roofs
Turns out there are lots of dogs on roofs. There’s a whole group on Flickr of these top dogs…
I’ve seen a few dogs on roofs in my travels, but I haven’t gotten a photo. Keep your eyes peeled, it could make the world news!
