Steven Briand directed this live action animated video at Partizan, an video production agency. The video is created using stop motion animation, a technique in which each frame of the video is a single photograph. In between the photographs, the subject and objects in the video are moved slightly, or in the case of this video, changed slightly or drastically. When the photos are put together and played like a normal video, the effect is magical.

Frictions

Here is another great animated short by Briand that uses live action and stop motion to tell a cool little story.
