This is a cool little time-lapse video shot in Burma.

A tilt-shift film, shot by Joerg Daiber in Rangoon (Yangon), Kalaw, Inle Lake, Mandalay and Bagan in Burma (Myanmar).

About Burma (Myanmar)

Is is Burma or Myanmar?

Both “Burma” and “Myanmar” are derived from the name of the majority Burmese Bamar ethnic group. “Myanmar” is considered to be the literary form of the name of the ethnic group, while “Burma” is derived from Bamar, the colloquial form of the name of the group. Depending on the register used the pronunciation would be “Bama” (pronounced [bəmà]), or “Myamah” (pronounced [mjəmà]). The name “Burma” has been in use in English since the time of British colonial rule. [wikipedia]

Burma is officially known as The Republic of The Union of Myanmar, which is why it is usually referred to parenthetically as Myanmar. The country has had a rough history of civil war, military rule and general unrest since it gained independence from Great Britain, under which it was a colony, in 1948. It is located near India and has a long coastline on the Bay of Bengal.
