As usual the other day my son and I were at the table eating mac and cheese with broccoli and he said, “can we watch dinosaurs on your iPad?” So I guess he was done telling me about his day. Anyway, here are the 6 awesome videos we watched while munching Annie’s Mac-N-Cheese:
Raptor
Raptor from Tal Moskovich on Vimeo.
Arguably Sam Neil’s best movie about Dinosaurs.
Denver Museum of Science “Dino”
Denver Museum of Science “Dino” from Smoke & Mirrors on Vimeo.
The coolest thing about dinosaurs is that even with all we know about when and where they lived, how big they were and what the might have eaten, the one thing we can’t say with any degree of certainty is whether or not they were good dancers.
Ankylosaur – Waitress for the Bees
Ankylosaur – Waitress for the Bees from Charlie Williams on Vimeo.
There are many wonderful things in this world: vanilla ice cream cones dipped in chocolate, cowboy songs, bikes and skiing. But a stop motion lego/dinosaur video for a song about ankylosaur has got to be on some kind of epic top ten list somewhere. Turns out Waitress For The Bees has a whole album of songs about dinosaurs.
Dinosaur Battle Town
Dinosaur Battle Town from Eddie West on Vimeo.
In which a man who lives on a castle aback a giant apatasaurus saves his family from marauding barbarian hordes in a castle built on the back of a charging T-Rex. By Eddie West.

Short and a trailer so there is no real content, but still worth a watch. Check out the full length Dinosaurs Alive movie.
La Marche des Dinosaures / Walking with Dinosaurs – Paris Bercy
La Marche des Dinosaures / Walking with Dinosaurs – Paris Bercy from TravelPics.fr on Vimeo.
I saved the best for last. This 15 minute excerpt from the French show La Marche des Dinosaures can make my son sit still through anything. The amazing moving dinosaurs are VERY big, VERY lifelike and the show must be amazing to see.
Designed as giant puppets to lean structure as possible, the giants of the March of the Dinosaurs have their entire energy supply system and embedded computing. To create a Torosaure able to walk, move the tail, neck and head realistically supervisor making creatures Sonny Tilders has first developed a skeleton of aluminum and fiberglass. The shape of the dinosaur was obtained by cutting 132 meters of foam flexible ultra-light, which is then covered with 296 meters of fabric lycra . The resulting assembly was stained with 200 liters of paint. Inside the Torosaure are located six hydraulic motors powered by batteries twelve truck . The whole is placed on a base with wheels, the facilitator of the dinosaur as a car driver ultra-low. [TravelPics]
