Here’s a clipping from the New York Times. It shows scans of a neuron from a mouse’s brain, which are a lot like those in a human brain, compared to what scientists predict the Universe looks like on a vast scale.

neuron and universe

There’s no way of knowing if this is accurate since we can’t travel outside the universe, look back and take a photo. But it does make you think. Is the universe the same as a neuron or is a neuron the same as the universe? Is the universe a neuron inside of the brain of a very large mouse? Is each mouse neuron a tiny universe that is made up of other tiny mouses and other neuron uiniverses?

Woah. That was deep.

What is a neuron?

A neuron is tiny cell in your brain that transmits information through electrical impulses. Neurons transmit feelings, thoughts, pain and cravings for bacon. Here’s more about Neurons.
