This is a great conversation piece. Drew Olbrich made a fake specimen jar to creep out his friends. A specimen jar is a dead animal preserved in a jar with formaldehyde or some other embalming fluid that prevents the sample from rotting.

The coolest thing about the Thing is that everyone responds to seeing it by asking questions. Where did I find it? Is it an internal organ? Is it some sort of fetus? Would it go well with pasta?
